Weekly therapy sessions are required at the start of our work together. Consistency allows for a dedicated space to build a therapeutic relationship and deepen the healing work effectively. Throughout the course of our work, we can adjust the frequency if appropriate.

I do not accept insurance, however “out-of-network” mental health services may be covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. If you are seeking insurance reimbursement, I can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance provider. Please check your coverage carefully to see if you receive out-of-network benefits. You may consider asking your provider the following questions:
Do I have "out-of-network" mental health insurance benefits? What is my deductible and has it been met? What is my "co-insurance"? How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover? How much will I be reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider? Is approval required from my primary care doctor?
Please note that where out-of-network benefits are covered, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse you for your expenses directly.

Paying out-of-pocket allows for more freedom, privacy, and independence, and keeps insurance out of the details of your therapeutic work. Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may request access to your personal health information while in therapy. In addition to meeting a deductible, there may also be limits to the number of sessions covered per year regardless of your level of care. You may be limited to in-network providers which can narrow your chances of finding the right fit for you.
By being out-of-network, I can work directly and privately with you which gives us greater flexibility and a higher level of confidentiality throughout our work. When considering the implications of using insurance, paying out-of-pocket is a better fit for some and many are reimbursed 30-100% of their session fees from their insurance. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Glad to hear it! You can reach out to schedule a free phone consultation. The consultation is an opportunity to discuss your hopes for therapy and address any questions and/or concerns you may have about my work and the process.
Our first session will allow us to meet in person (or virtually), for you to feel out the therapy space, and further discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. For couples, individual sessions may be a part of the intake process as well. As our relationship is the foundation to the work, the intake process may take a few sessions for us to determine whether we’re a good fit.
